Computerway Introduces Label Engine
User-friendly Program Simplifies Label Design
High Point, N.C. (April 7, 2006) – Computerway Food Systems has developed the Label Engine application which greatly simplifies the process of designing and deploying labels for poultry processors.
The user-friendly label design application offers users the ability to create a label image in .jpg format for easy viewing in the Computerway R6 Production and Inventory Control System.
“In the past, label design was often done using notepad or a third-party design application,” said Bill Altenpohl, Computerway Food Systems president. “This process was awkward and slow. Label Engine makes it much easier.”
Label Engine streamlines the ability to send the design across the enterprise to all scale stations using Computerway software.
“Customers find this very attractive in today’s environment dealing with difficult label requirements,” Altenpohl said.
With Label Engine, the user can update, change and move the individual fields of the label. Changes are seen on the screen. Text and database fields are easily added, and stored images can be inserted in the label.
