Computerway Holds Systems Manager Seminar
High Point, N.C. (Nov. 29, 2006) —Computerway Food Systems (CFS) recently held its annual Systems Manager Seminar at the company’s corporate headquarters in High Point, N.C.
One of the main topics discussed at the seminar was disaster avoidance and recovery for critical systems. Several other speakers also presented information on new products and product updates.
“What we know and see on a daily basis in regards to disaster planning, and what concerns us deeply, is the alarming lack of consistency across the poultry industry in assessing and addressing critical risk factors,” Altenpohl said.
CFS has developed a critical system review form to help plant managers identify those systems, the effects on production during system failure, and the level of continuity that is most cost effective for each system.
Founded in 1986, Computerway Food Systems is located in High Point, N.C. The company offers two major product lines, Computerway, computerized production and inventory control systems for food processing plants, and Chickway, electronic weighing systems designed for high speed sorting on overhead conveyors.
