Computerway Quality Control

Quality Control is a data-capture and management system integrated with other Computerway applications designed to optimize food safety. The QC program provides accurate recording of product and process tests while protecting and storing data immediately in an analytical database. The system is highly configurable and can be used for a wide variety of product and process tests and measurements.

QC is a web-enabled application designed to connect with multiple devices for data input. Utilizing the benefits of Computerway’s newest B15b TouchScreen, which is fully enclosed for wash-down environments, the Quality Control application can be used for data collection on the plant floor or in the lab environment. QC supports connections to a variety of scale indicators, printers, temperature probes, and other devices utilized to capture product quality and environmental variables.

Benefits of the Quality Control System:
• Record QA data electronically
• Prevent shipment of product until successful completion of QA
• Provide integration of Computerway Food System’s Inventory and Shipping system with the QA system
• Provide reports for historical analysis of data
• Improves Recall and Traceability for all products
• Improves on-time shipment
• Reduce Labor required for Food Safety compliance
• Strengthen customer product acceptance with Certificates of Analysis

Integration
The system integrates data collected for quality assurance testing, defect logging, attribute testing and HACCP reporting. It can operate as a stand-alone system or can be used with Computerway Inventory Control and Process Management systems.

Sample Testing
QC provides simple, fast and accurate means for configuring, scheduling and implementing critical sample tests. Tight integration with the Computerway Production and Inventory systems allows production to automatically be placed on hold until test results are received and QA releases safe lots for shipment.

Attribute Logging
Flexible configuration of defects and attributes recorded on inbound raw materials provides critical product information. Attribute and defect data tagged with raw material inventory in the Computerway Process Management system provides analysis and reporting on the quality of inbound raw material.

Temperature Collection
Temperatures collected at various points throughout the product lifecycle are collected and maintained for reporting required to meet HACCP guidelines.

Reporting
Reporting available from QC provides fast, flexible results that are automatically saved in HTML format on the server and can also be exported to .csv format. QC data integrated with the Inventory and Process Management system provides the tools for tighter controls on the processing of raw materials and shipment of finished goods.
