Simplified Scanning System
The CFS Simplified Scanning System is an accurate and affordable scanning package to help manage palletizing, shipping, and receiving operations. Designed specifically for small to mid-sized processors, it is also a perfect tool to capture shipping information at remote storage facilities or at customer’s sites.
This easy-to-use, self-contained system runs on a PC, and utilizes short-range RF scanning hardware. A label printer can be connected to the system for printing pallet labels, and/or an office printer can be connected for printing reports. The system can be housed in one of CFS' stainless-steel "wash-down" enclosures (mobile or stationary), or it can be run from a standard office PC.
The system reads scanned case data from UCC or custom-configured barcodes, and produces summaries of the information as pallet labels, files and reports. Simple Scan can be fully integrated into Computerway R5 Inventory Systems or “Q” Enterprise systems. The files also can be imported into other applications, such as Microsoft® Excel. Within these programs, office personnel with basic computer skills can create and manage shipping manifests, production reports, or inventory updates.
Orders and manifests can be keyed into the Simplified Scanning System, or read in from standard files. Operators then scan against these orders and manifests, assuring accuracy and generating reports. The Simplified Scanning System allows processors to maintain their shipping dock operations, accurately and affordably.
